I would love to have a supply of tissues, hand sanitizer, wipes and pencils for the classroom. In a day we are constantly reaching for these supplies, and in just the first few weeks of school, we are already running low.
These supplies are no longer provided in our school, and yet I've become accustomed to wiping down their desks at the end of the day and being able to offer a tissue if they need it.
During a poem contest one year, I had a student write a poem about a classroom that never had tissues. She roasted the teacher in a humorous way! I usually will pick up a box on my own or a random parent will send a box in for the class. It is so appreciated! Please consider my project to provided these much needed supplies in our classrooms. I will share the bounty with my English Department of twelve teachers!
