This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love my third graders, they are inquisitive, bright, and enthusiastic learners. They are interested in learning and staying engaged in lessons despite the fact that they've been learning remotely since March 2020. Distance learning has been a challenge for many reasons. Many families are experiencing unemployment, evictions, and COVID-19. A lot of my students live in small apartments or homes where they live with several families.

My Project

Will provide students with basic school materials while they are learning remotely from home. They will also get yummy snacks in order to be satisfied and focus on lessons via zoom. I have noticed that sometimes they need snacks while parents are busy, working, or recovering from COVID-19.

In addition, they will receive hygiene products such as hand sanitizer, soap, facial tissue, and bandaids to help them stay safe.

These essential items will make my students feel loved, safe, and happy. Receiving these items will motivate them while they're physically separated from our school community!
