Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a diverse group of artistic students at a Title I visual and performing arts school in downtown Los Angeles. Students come from all over the city to our public high school to receive a top notch education in both academics and their chosen art form (music, dance, visual arts or theater) and go on to study at some of the top academic colleges and art schools across the country.
After being out of the classroom for a few years in another role, I am back and realizing that I am lacking so many essential and basic supplies!
I am super excited to get classroom basics for my classroom. These classroom materials including markers, paper, post it notes, scissors and rulers will be so valuable to provide access for all of my students to be able to excel in my classroom.
Differentiation is a valuable tool in customizing my instruction to meet all of my students' needs, and these materials will allow me to do just that!
With these materials, students can practice highlighting key portions of a text, develop a presentation to present their lab findings, or demonstrate their knowledge quickly with an exit ticket. I really appreciate your support of my students!
