My students are in Pre-K to 1st grade and range in age from two to six years old. They receive special instruction in small classrooms (6:1:1 and 8:1:2). Most of my students are non-verbal or have limited verbal proficiency. Their diagnoses include PDD, Autism, and learning disabilities.
My Project
My students learn in various ways and they need a lot of support in order to be successful in school. These resources will encourage exploration and learning throughout the school day.
For these young learners, this includes having access to basic classroom tools and materials, like crayons, scissors, glue sticks, and construction paper.
My students would benefit from using magic boards and dry erase activity books to develop their handwriting skills. Also, having a variety of puzzles would provide opportunities for my students to work on their fine motor and visual motor skills.
