My students need just right fit books for early readers. As my 1st graders are growing in their reading abilities. These include "This Is Not My Hat," "Creepy Carrots!" and 3 sets of leveled books.
Do you remember the excitement you felt when you first began reading books all on your own? My students are currently experiencing this excitement! They are becoming amazing independent readers and need books that meet their current reading levels.
My students are adorable and excited 1st graders learning how to read.
They are an energetic bunch with great enthusiasm for learning. We need more books for them to read at school and at home that meet their individual needs. The students are expected to read several books at their own level each week and we are currently struggling with providing each student enough books at their own reading and interest level.
My Project
The resources we are requesting are primarily non-fiction books aimed at the beginning reader. These books will help give more students books at their own individual reading level to read both in the class and at home. These books will help give all students an opportunity to read books at both their interest and reading level. My students are currently excited about all things non-fiction and need books at their level that explore non-fiction information.
It is so important to get these appropriate fit books in the hands of our young readers, so that they can continue to grow in their reading abilities!
My students are very excited to grow in their reading and need more resources to keep doing so!
