My project needs a variety of "just right" books that students coming into 2nd grade reading at kindergarten and first grade levels can read independently.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At-risk students need books they can actually read. I teach 2nd grade at a program-improvement school with economically-disadvantaged students.
My classroom library meets the needs of students reading at 2nd grade level, but many of my students are coming into 2nd grade reading at kindergarten through first grade levels. I really need books for these children reading below and significantly below grade level.
I've requested books which my at-risk students will be able to access. These materials will provide meaningful reading experiences for my struggling readers.
Your help will give students who are below and significantly below grade level a fighting chance to catch up to their peers.
Thank you for making a difference.
