My Project

My first-grade students work hard during the week to improve their reading and writing skills during our daily Reading Recovery lessons. When they have earned five stickers for completing assigned tasks and showing up ready to learn, they are rewarded with a treat of their choice. Some students are able to maintain their momentum through their academic achievement while others need a little more help.

Some students require extrinsic motivators in order to keep working when the work gets tough.

They look forward to celebrating their achievement with this tangible reward each week with things such as juice and snacks.
