Help me give my students diverse books for our classroom library that elevate Deaf and disabled characters and highlight their super powers and the things that make them unique!

My Project

My multilingual Deaf students are amazing! At our Dual Language school, we strive to empower our students as Deaf individuals to be lifelong learners and innovative thinkers with diverse linguistic, ethnic, and cultural identities who are fluent in both American Sign Language and English. I need your help to ensure they have access to the best resources to support their development in biliteracy.

These diverse books, that elevate Deaf and disabled characters, will help students recognize their own super powers and the things that make them unique!

Characters included in these books are diverse. Some are Deaf, use AAC to communicate, use sign language, are dyslexic, sensory seeking, or have learning differences. They all face different challenges and they all have strengths and gifts to share with the world.
