My students need a projector to be able to project the Nintendo Wii onto my gym wall so that the whole class can play a dance video game all at once.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are living in an inner city and go to one of the lowest funded school districts in the state. As a Physical Education teacher, to be able to give my students the opportunity to try out many new activities and sports, I need the equipment to do so. A lot of the equipment that is in our gym is broken, torn, and unusable.
The students are energetic, full of wonder, and want to get their bodies moving.
They are always eager to come to my class, and need this time to get the physical activity that they need. Living in an inner city, they may not have the space at home to play outside or get the exercise they need. This makes my class that much more important for them.
My Project
This projector will allow me to project the Nintendo Wii on the gym wall so that all of my students can play a dance game all at once. My students love to dance and they love video games. I want to be able to combine the two to increase their love of physical activity.
This projector will make a difference in my students' learning because they will get to make exercise fun!
Students will be able to have a fun competition by using the game, and their statistics can easily be tracked through the game to show improvement throughout our dance unit. Students will learn to show good sportsmanship when others have a higher or lower score than them. Students' school lives will be improved by giving them an outlet in my class and through dance to express themselves and increase the brain's readiness for learning through exercise.
