My Students

My school serves approximately 500 students. Our students are a unique mix of learners from diverse backgrounds and speak a variety of languages. In our classrooms, you will often find students collaborating while learning new skills and solving problems. Our students' diverse backgrounds and various experiences help shape each of them into amazing and unique individuals. Their differences provide our students with an opportunity to learn from one another. From the first day of school, we work together to create classroom families that our students love to be a part of.

My Project

Student access to books became a concern of ours over the summer. As the pandemic changed so many things about life as we knew it - it greatly limited access to books for children. Because of this concern, we have begun placing book libraries in the communities in which our students live.

This project will give all children who live in the communities near our library boxes access to more books to read.

Access to more books will increase reading skills and interest.

As these quotes say...the possibilities are endless when students have access to books. This project will give children the opportunity to learn more, the imagination to dream and wish, and the tools to change the world.
