Junior Police Officers

Help me give my students a sense of pride and belonging as they provide safety for our 890 students by being our Junior Police Officers on campus.

My Project

The disruptions caused by the pandemic led to gaps in learning and deprived students of the social interactions and support systems that schools provide. Many of the students currently at elementary level are just learning the behavior and safety effects of being in a public learning environment that impacts their overall well-being. Our JPO (Junior Police Officers) is a leadership Program to help with traffic and safety as well as providing positive care for their fellow students. The lack of in-person contact with teachers, classmates, and friends could have had emotional and psychological effects on children. JPO are there to welcome you with brightening smiles and positive motivation while helping to enforce ours schools rules and safety policies.

The adoption of uniforms will serve several important purposes while strengthening the identity and unity of the Junior Police Program.

It will help to promote a sense of belonging and create a strong and cohesive identity. The safety vests will make it easier to identify our program participants during school events and engagements, contributing to a greater sense of security and order. The rain coats will help the Officers fulfill their responsibilities without being hindered by the weather and provide health and comfort while on duty.

I also plan on using the laminating sheets, badge hole puncher, and badge clips for name badges. Name badges help in easy identification of campus officers. This is especially important in large campuses where it might be challenging to recognize everyone. It ensures that students, faculty, and visitors can easily identify the officers.
