Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
If this is fully funded, I will 1) be so thankful and 2) write a personal thank you note! I would then be able to engage more students (900+) in positive SEL lessons and learn beyond the expectations without breaking my district or my personal bank account! Encouraging junior high students to learn and earn rewards can be a powerful motivator while also teaching valuable social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons. By implementing a structured reward system, students can understand the cause-and-effect relationship between their actions and outcomes, reinforcing positive behavior and responsibility. Integrating SEL lessons into this system helps students develop empathy, self-awareness, and problem-solving skills, which are essential for creating a safe and supportive school environment. Through interactive activities, peer collaboration, and reflective discussions, students can see how their choices impact themselves and others, fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, and personal growth.
