This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After lunch, we always read a chapter of Junie B. Jones to get back into the swing of things. The students LOVE these books so much that they always beg for more than one chapter to be read. This year, our district has students book shopping in a new way. Students complete the 5 finger rule, which means they read the first page and depending on how many words they get incorrect they either put the book in their book baggie or shop for a different book. We have a limited amount of Junie B. Jones books for the children to book shop with. The children love shopping for these books not only for their book baggies but also to follow along when reading that after lunch chapter. I would love to get some more Junie B. Jones books for the children to read and enjoy at home.
