With the help of DonorsChoose, The BTWMS basketball team finished ranked in the top three of their area last season. They looked good and they played good.
The students come from the inner city and are not as fortunate as others.
It is important for them to look and feel like they have the same opportunities and experiences as every other school. With all the negativity around them they are working hard to focus on the positives in school and sports.
A child should not be discouraged from participating in any positive activity just because they fear they cannot afford to pay fees or buy shoes, socks and warmups. Providing them with those essential items will put their mind at ease and allow them to focus more on building the best version of themselves.
