Jumping Into Learning

Help me give my students planetarium, paint sticks, human x-rays, magnetic solar system, and human body games.

My Project

Students have a shorter attention span. These objects will help take our content and allow kids to do hands-on learning without being on screens. We are studying the human body and the solar system for our reading and writing units. These items will allow students to gain a deeper understanding of the content while working with partners and groups. They can problem-solve and learn to work through disagreements as they work on content.

The human body game will review content in a fun way that also requires students to engage with one another in an appropriate way.

The Solar System activities reinforce difficult concepts through hands-on application of the learning. Again, they need to work in partners and groups which also helps with the social-emotional pieces.

The art supplies will be used for culminating projects. Students love to paint and share their thinking in a variety of ways. These paint pens will allow them to be creative and eliminate the hassle of setting up paint trays that take up time with set up and clean up.

These items will make the content come alive.
