Our high school is a great place for learning, exploring, and developing young learners. It strives to propel the passion and creativity in each student. That is evident as you walk into Mrs. Williams' dance class. This brand new class on the campus is getting all the buzz as students excitedly explore this new experience of dancing, creating, performing, and working together to build a thriving program for future CHS students.
As a Title I school that serves many low income and underserved communities, many of our students do not have the resources to access an arts education, and we are doing everything we can to ensure that does not prevent them from having one.
Providing dance supplies, shoes, costumes, and performance opportunities plays a significant role in fostering creativity and self-expression among our students. When students put on costumes, they not only transform into characters but also feel a sense of belonging to the art form. For many of our students who may not have had exposure to dance before, wearing costumes can be a transformative experience, instilling confidence and a deeper connection to the art form.
We want students to feel prepared, as they confidently step into class or walk onto the stage. Your support will provide beautiful costumes to our students, and will help Mrs. Williams' to provide performing arts experiences in her classroom that will leave students feeling proud and supported. Thank you for supporting our students!
