My Students
Help me motivate my kindergartners to get excited about reading! This is my first year teaching Kindergarten. The past two years, I have taught second grade. Our school has been around for 51 years! It is a Title I school where every child receives free daily breakfast and lunch. I am raising money for classroom books. The little ones will greatly appreciate having books on their individual reading level. Please help us create a wonderful kindergarten classroom library! Thank you so much in advance!
My Project
Our class enjoys our reading time! My students get so excited coming to the carpet and hearing a new story each day. They are currently learning letters, sounds, and sight words. Moving from second grade, my books right now are too advanced for my students. My class is in need of books on their reading level.
Some of our class favorite authors include: Jan Thomas, Mo Willems, Greg Pizzoli, Amy Krouse Rosenthal, and Loren Long.
The kids love Skippy Jon Jones, Pete the Cat, Llama Llama, and Howard B. Wigglebottom books. Please help my class enjoy reading books on their level without being frustrated with the context.
