My Project

This project aims to spark excitement around reading by providing 2nd and 3rd grade students the opportunity to participate in a Junior Battle of the Books. Through engaging with a carefully selected collection of books, students will not only strengthen their reading comprehension skills but also develop important life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and critical thinking. While Battle of the Books is traditionally reserved for 4th and 5th graders, this initiative offers younger students a unique and meaningful chance to showcase their reading abilities and build confidence early on. By laying this foundation, we hope to inspire a lifelong love of reading and prepare them for future academic success.
