These are items that I would normally have to buy out of my own pocket. They are materials used to facilitate activities that promote active engagement, cooperative work, and hands on learning and exploration. My students need help learning to interact with their peers in a thoughtful, playful manner. For instance, the acrylic flow medium is for a marbleized rock painting project where students will choose three positive adjectives to describe themselves and keep their beautiful rock in the classroom as a reminder of their positive attributes. The jigsaw puzzles encourage partner work in problem solving and communication.
