Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These manipulatives and materials will:
Enhancing sensory engagement is key: Students can interact with physical objects, such as math manipulatives, to deepen their understanding.
With my relatively new curriculum, which requires numerous manipulatives, the cubby storage organizer will be invaluable for keeping everything organized. The number bond manipulatives will assist students in grasping concepts through visual activities, while the magnetic tiles will provide a fun, engaging way to develop both motor and social skills. For my reading stations, flexible seating is essential to foster a love for reading. By incorporating various manipulatives in a kindergarten classroom, learning becomes interactive, engaging, and fun!
Encourage exploration: Hands-on materials and books allow students to dive deeper into the topic, helping them retain information through interaction and discovery.
Build teamwork and social skills: Working in groups to create models, play games, and share discoveries will help students collaborate and communicate.
Enhance language development: Through storytelling, discussions, and role-play, students will expand their vocabulary
Their diverse ways of learning: Some students are visual learners, while others are hands-on learners
