Journey Into Exploring Books In New Worlds

Help me give my students build a new library of new authors and genres to read and journey to new worlds. For instance, Dairy of a Wimpy Kid set can get my students excited to build fluency.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In 4th grade Reading students engage in various genres that helps them have creative and imaginable minds. By purchasing a variety of books motives students to construct fluency, summarization, comprehension, asking questions, and decoding. For example, Dairy of a Wimpy kid, which is a trendy book, is what scholars would enjoy reading. However, students gain a world of knowledgeable experiences. How this project will make a difference to readers is to learn how authors write different text structures.

My goals for this project is for students to gain knowledge of various genres of books by authors from different backgrounds.

In addition to innovate a group talk with my students to share their books. I would like for students within the group talk to learn from one another of what they read. Readers can gain knowledge is by comprehending what the author's message and theme within text. This builds academic learning and students can apply their reading strategies learned in class. It is necessary for 4th grade students to read books of interest and a wide range of cultures. In addition, readers can share with other peers about their reading experience. This helps students to summarize what they have read.

What makes my students special? My students are special in their own personality and perspective in how they comprehend the authors message. These students who display a desire to learn will be given the opportunity to read a book that is given to them for ownership. I do know my students will be very happy to own a book of their choice because not every child has a collection of books at home. lastly, students can select a book to be read aloud in class. By giving students a book also creates memories well into adulthood. Memories are a life time.
