Jordan Education Foundation Classroom Grant

Help me give my students the curriculum they need to build their social skills and social emotional skills. In addition, help me give them rewards for behavior plans, and supplies to my classroom.

My Project

I work with general education and special education students who are working to build their social skills, self-regulation skills, strategies to deal with anxiety and depression, and more!

I enjoy working with my students because they are unique, no two students are the same.

I enjoy getting to figure out their individual "puzzle" and what makes them tick, how to help them be successful, in addition to working towards building their skills!

These materials will be used to teach a variety of skills through curriculum to drive instruction. The curriculum will help teach skills such as identifying feelings and emotions. It will help teach students what anxiety is, how to identify anxiety in their bodies, and what strategies to use when they begin to feel anxious. Next, wobble stools, lap blankets and fidgets will be used to support students with their ability to regulate and attend to instruction both in my room and their regular teacher's class. Some fidgets and stickers will be used as rewards when a student meets goals and behavior expectations.

These supplies will help as I work to support students through counseling, working with behaviors, etc.
