Job Skills

Help me give my students this awesome mobile cubby unit. We want to set up work bins to help students learn valuable job skills. This is the perfect storage unit for this.

My Students

I teach students with moderate intellectual disabilities who have autism, Down Syndrome, Smith-Magenis Syndrome, and other disabilities. We look at the ability rather than the disability.

Our students love to learn, but need extra effort and support to help them shine.

They get so excited when they accomplish and learn new things. They love to help others.

My students are truly an inspiration to everyone they come in contact with. Our students are given access to the general education curriculum and also receive functional instruction.

My Project

My special Education students work on learning valuable job skills to help with finding a job after graduation. This awesome mobile cubby unit with 10 bins is perfect. We will be able to set up different job tasks for students to practice on a daily basis. Our students can practice sorting objects by color, shape and size, assembling items, counting items, filing items and affixing labels on envelopes. These valuable skills will help our special students prepare for future employment. As students learn these valuable skills, we can increase complexity of each work task and rotate tasks according to each students’ needs.
