My Students

This project is for my Job Development Class. The point of this class is to help students who have an IEP become ready to transition from high school to the "real world" as seamlessly as possible.

This class does a variety of jobs around the school building that include but are not limited to the following; delivering mail to teachers, making copies for teachers, picking up recycling, delivering packages, filling copy machines, and running a coffee shop.

While we are in the classroom we practice job skills such as interviews and filling out job applications.

My Project

These items will be used for my class to practice essential skills to help them get hired and keep employment after high school. These tools will help students to work on skills needed for job and also work on their fine and gross motor skills. These items will help the students to be very versatile in multiple areas that they may choose to seek employment whether it be janitorial work, in an office, or retail type positions. These will also help students to work on independent living skills so they can be as successful as possible when they graduate high school.
