Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently have a group of 23 fabulous second graders in a dual language classroom. They live in a low income, high poverty stricken inner city community in northern New Jersey. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom due to their socioeconomic status and their varying linguistic abilities. Despite this, they are ready, willing, and excited to learn! They tackle challenges and strive to do their best. They are resilient, respectful, and hardworking students.
My Project
There are so many Cool and creative ways to use the Cricut Machine in the classroom. Many students love to be creative when completing their assignments and projects. They add colorful illustrations, book covers, and details to their assignments. Having a Cricut Machine will make it possible for them to be as creative as can be. The Cricut Machine can be used for labels, creating letters, numbers, decorate and organize the classroom, and for so much more.
The Cricut Machine will provide endless opportunities for use in the classroom.
I will also be able to enhance our classroom by labeling bins, cubbies, creating bulletin boards, organizing the classroom, and to create learning materials that support math and literacy.
