This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The young women in our GLITTER girls mentoring group are strong, determined students, who just need a little extra support during their high school years. They work hard on academics, extra-curriculars, and sports, but sometimes struggle in their personal lives.

Young women of color face some of the most difficult barriers to success, and we are trying to help them break through those barriers.

We want them to get to know their strengths, work through the areas of growth, and graduate high school prepared for their next steps!

My Project

Future trips and community service often come with a large price tag, and your donations will help us on our way to making these dreams a reality. We will use half of our jewelry to donate to different groups of women and girls, and the other half will be sold as Mother's Day gifts to fundraise for our future endeavors.

Your donations will literally make the day of hundreds of women and girls in the Chicago area.

From neighborhood girls to women in shelters, you will be a blessing to many!
