My students are highly motivated and eager to learn. They are very curious and ask a lot of questions. My student population is made up of special needs and general education students.
Most of my students come from low income household and some of them live in shelters.
In spite of the challenges they face I have noticed a willingness in them to learn and discover new things.
I enjoy working with these students because they love to read. It's interesting to see how they strive to read and engage in reading activities
to pronounce new words that they meet. They show great interest in reading and I want to encourage them. This will be made possible with your help.
My Project
The books will be used to help students learn both in school and at home. Students will be a able to participate in read aloud and vocabulary building activities. They will be engaged in both individual and small group instructions. This will help students who are below level to improve.
Students will be given take home baggies to help support and reinforce what was done in the classroom.
This will strengthen the home/school connection.
Students will develop a love for reading as they discover and explore different places and interact using reading skills both at home and in school.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
