This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a kindergarten teacher in West Hills, CA to an exceptional bunch of students. My class comes to virtual school excited to learn and they openly accept the challenges of our day!
Our classroom is full of curiosity and discovery, much of which is fostered through books, discussion, and discovery.
Kindergarten is a year of self-exploration, individual growth, and lots of change. It is in this early year of school that students learn the foundation for a lifetime and the skills necessary to navigate the world around them.

Help give my kindergarten order a set of JEDI Books for Distance Learning!
These books and online learning resources will bring Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion to our classroom.
This project is aimed to build my classroom library and teaching resources-- to include books about people of color, as well as by authors from diverse backgrounds. With these books, I will be able to enhance my teaching and celebrate the diversity of my students in a literacy-rich capacity. The resources purchased to accompany these stories will support literacy skills as well as the cultural differences that make our classroom so rich.
