My Project

In celebration of Black History Month, I would like to focus on Black excellence in the form of writers, specifically Jason Reynolds. In his own words, Jason Reynolds, a national ambassador of young people's literature, writes stories of the interior lives of Black youth in America and what it means to be human.

Help me provide my students with literature that will both deepen their love for reading and highlight excellence.

I am requesting a classroom set of, "For Everyone", as well as 5 of each other book for the purpose of classroom literature circles. With these books, students will engage in grade-level discussions and demonstrate reading comprehension skills.

My students deserve the world. Literature is the closest I can get!
