My Project
The musical collection of indigenous instruments and ukulele string instruments in the music classroom will be used to create soundscapes of tropical sounds from different ethnic cultures from around the world with Orff-Schulwerk based orchestrations. The ukuleles will serve students in practicing on a four (4) string instrument that is a little easier than a six (6) string instrument like a guitar for finger dexterity with smaller fingers and hands for 3rd to 5th graders.
Our elementary performing arts students sing and play instruments from around the world.
They deserve quality instruments that represent different cultures and identities that also include them.
