Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Computer Science Institute Department at JBHS has a record number of students. Two teachers are dedicated, instructing the Freshman class in Exploring Computer Science. Many of our students this year are English Language Learners. Code HS provides great instruction and a provision to allow Spanish speakers to navigate the course in their native language.
The Pro teacher upgrade would allow us to follow students better, providing Handouts, Problem Guides, Assessment Reports, Generate AI Hints to send to students and much more.
We will be equipped to allow our students to succeed. They will be challenged with more assessment question types that only the Pro teacher can provide. Students will see there grades immediately and receive feedback in a timely manner with the upgrades Google Classroom integration feature. We can award Custom Student Badges, track student programming activity and login activity to better inform us which student might need extra help. More importantly, we can differentiate by switching between Block vs. Text Coding to individualize instruction for every student's success.
