I've Got to Read That Book, Teacher.

Help me give my students a lifelong love for reading. These high interest stories cover a bunch of reading genres as well as wide range of reading levels. Student will be catapulted into many series with these.

My Students

I have 25 amazing, inquisitive, and eager to learn students. They are curious and always striving for new knowledge. It is because of them our classroom has an energetic, positive atmosphere that encourages all to work hard, learn, and improve even when the material is not easy.

They demonstrate excellence and are willing to share their understandings with others.

After 30 years of teaching, I am still in love with my profession because of these imaginative students who are the future of our world.

My Project

I want to put books into my students hands that motivate them to read. My team and I have developed a high interest list of books that are great reads for students in our grade level. We have also developed an achievement recognition for reading them.

These books appeal to children and will draw them into reading more.

The books cover a large range of genres, from fantasy to biographies and mysteries to sports. We have included books on several reading levels to accommodate students with diverse needs. Several are part of a series of books that will draw the children into reading more.

With the Covid protection we are working with, I need several copies of each book so I can let the children take them home and relish reading them without too much time between lost between uses. My students will love getting there hands on these books.
