My Project
We've got it made in second grade! Second-graders are remarkable people! They are little sponges just waiting to learn. Most thrive on hands-on learning and actually want to learn and know more at their age. With all three of these items I have added to my cart, my kids can do just that! Dry erase boards, phonics magnetic folding boards, and math manipulatives are something I would use every single day in my classroom.
We use dry-erase boards daily in my room.
We use them in every subject from math, language, reading, and phonics. They are a vital part of the learning process in my classroom. These boards would help ensure that each of the kids had one and would last longer. An added bonus is the handle on the boards which will help with answering questions by holding up the board.
Phonics magnetic folding boards would really help my students during phonics. As we learn new phonics skills daily using our new phonics curriculum (UFLI), these would be an incredible learning tool to have as a class set for all my students. Phonics is a passion of mine and teaching kids to read is what I truly love doing. These would also be an incredible resource for small group activities.
Math manipulatives would be used often in my classroom in small groups but also as a whole group. Place value and base ten blocks for math would help in several different ways with different skills for our second-grade pass skills. As I've mentioned, my kids love anything hands-on, so being able to practice with these manipulatives would help my students better grasp math.
