Help me give my students their first introduction to chess! The chess boards will jumpstart our learning, and the clocks will introduce us to formal play.

My Project
These chess boards and clocks will be used to launch a brand new chess club for students in third grade and up. Chess has been proven to boost IQ, improve memory, and foster creativity. The students will be guided through simple lessons that will introduce them to the game, teach them the names of each piece, and get them started with simple opening moves.
The goal for this club is to provide a fun, educational, and safe activity for our students throughout the school year.
Eventually, we would like to expand the club, making it available to any student who wants to participate.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
