Our day is packed with lots of learning experiences and to help the students stay focused, we have brain breaks throughout the day.
My students are always excited to be at school because many of them do not receive the love and care they need at home.
They are hard workers, very outgoing, and love to learn. The school where I teach is very low class and I almost always have to buy the materials that I need for my classroom.
My Project
On a typical day at recess, my students will stand around or sit because they do not have any equipment to play with. Many times they will come up to me and say, "I am bored, what can I do?" With the playground equipment including a toss game, scoop ball sets, footballs, jump ropes, mesh bag, basketball, soccer ball, and kickball, my students will engage in physical activity and will receive the mental and physical break that is needed to help them succeed in the classroom.
Recess is a vital part of our day at school because it gives the students a mental and physical break.
Children have short attention spans, and giving them opportunities for physical activity help with the learning process. By having this playground equipment, the students will have materials needed to help encourage physical activity.
