This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher, I am constantly thinking of ways to get my students excited about writing. With a new computer and some new writing tools, my students will be ready to write!
Our school is Title I and over 70% are ELL (English Language Learners).
In my classroom, I have 26 amazing, first graders who are eager to learn! Most of my students excel at math but struggle with reading and writing. I want to be able to give these students the foundation they need to be talented writers.
My Project
With these new materials students will be able to compose their writings into different drafts. We will use the pens and markers in our small groups to help them draft and edit their writing assignments. A new computer, keyboard cover and case will be a lot of help since we only have access to five computers in our classroom. This computer will be used for composing final drafts in our writing process.
Any donations to this project will encourage my students to love writing!
My wish is for my students to finish out the school year with a positive attitude about their writing abilities.
