Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our scholars will receive incentives for being present and doing their assignments. This month is attendance awareness month, and we are promoting and acknowledging all scholars that show up on time everyday ready to learn and are eager to learn. As the social worker of my school, I’m focused on attendance and making sure that all of our student are at school with no transportation issues.
This can be challenging for some families because of the housing crisis, so these small incentives increase the rapport that we build with each scholar and creates a space that shows we value their presence.
