My Students

My school is located in a high poverty area in the Bronx, NY. Many of the students live in shelters, receive free breakfast and lunch, have difficult family lives, and have special needs. Despite these challenges, my students walk into school with a big smile on their face, ready for a new day of learning and growing. They enter the classroom with such joy, excited to see their friends and anxious for the day to begin.

My students love to learn, and I want to make sure they have the materials and resources to be successful students.

Many of them lack access to technology in the home which motivates me to provide these tools for my students even more. They are funny, dedicated, brilliant, kind, inquiring minds who rise to any academic challenge presented to them.

My Project

My Kindergartens are excited and ecstatic about learning. My class is in need an iPad and fire tablets. Having an iPad will allow my students to work in a group for learning centers and fire tablets will allow students to use reading and math apps.

Many of students struggle with learning letters and numbers.

By donating to this project, you will ensure that my students have open access to technology every day at school.

You will be giving Kindergartens an experience that they wouldn't have had before. My students will get to learn how to be fluent in technology and will be able to learn and grow at the same time.
