My students need a carpet and book stand for their classroom library and reading center.

My Students
My Kindergarten students are at the wonderful age of learning to LOVE reading, but we are lacking a warm environment to entice them to choose the reading center over other centers in the classroom.
I typically have 20 Kindergarten students in my classroom.
They come from many different backgrounds and sociol-economic status. We are a small school that has been hit VERY HARD by our state's recent budget crisis. We used to have an early childhood para-educator in each Kindergarten classroom, but those positions have been cut. We now have 1 para to circulate between all Kindergarten classrooms. I usually have an average of 0-1 classroom volunteers due to families in our area needing both parents to work.
My Project
We would LOVE to have a carpet to have as a gathering place for our morning math meeting, story time, reading/library center and many more times when we need to get out of our seats and learn in a small area with a large group. The kids would be better managed because there would be a boundary set with the carpet for their personal space instead of relying on painters tape that they pick at while they should be listening to our instruction.
Our project is important because it will help our dull-boring classroom turn into an early childhood space that the students are proud of and want to learn in.
The students will be able to turn their classroom library and large group area into an inviting space full of potential and warmth.
