My Students

Carpe diem! These are the words that greet my students daily as they enter our classroom. I aim to create an environment filled with creativity, educational challenges, happiness, and self-awareness. Every day, my students rise to the challenge and truly seize the day!

My students attend a Title I public school in New York City where nearly all students come from low-income households.

My students are a diverse group of intellectually gifted fourth graders. Their interests are unique and varied, yet they share the trait of innate inquisitiveness. Our classroom is a place of discovery and inquiry. We strive to tap into our higher-order thinking skills on a daily basis, pushing ourselves to explore and think deeply.

My Project

This will be a school year unlike any other. Yet, the learning continues! Whether remotely or in the classroom, I am working hard to meet the needs of my students. Whatever the means of instruction, I am so proud of them and they continue to flourish in remarkable ways!

The requested materials will go a long way in ensuring a successful September and beyond.

The colorful spots will allow me to designate socially distanced learning locations in the classroom. The binders, dividers, and labels will allow me to organize materials for individual students. I will utilize the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to assist me in creating engaging, individualized activities for my students to use both in the classroom and online. Finally, the tissues and cleaning supplies will allow us to contain our germs and remain healthy and safe. All these materials will prove to be such helpful tools in my classroom.
