Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My preschool students love to paint every day! Consequently, we use tons of art supplies throughout the school year. Painting is a great tool that allows my students to explore, create, learn, care, share, and work cooperatively.
My preschool students are a great group of 24 children who come to school ready to discover and learn new concepts through our fun yet meaningful hands-on activities.
In our school we serve low-income children and their families. But despite their socio-economic status, my students are always ready and eager to learn.
My Project
Can we paint? That is what I hear from my students every day. Painting is a fun way to help them develop their fine motor skills as they also learn colors and shapes. After a few months my students will also begin to form letters and numbers with paint.
I'm requesting a Mobile Art Center (easel) and other painting supplies like paint cups, paper, a paper organizer, smocks, and markers to help us organize our art center and foster our children's creativity. We just moved to another classroom and we don't have an easel right now. Your generous donation of painting supplies will help my preschoolers develop their fine motor skills and love for the arts as well. It doesn't matter if they get messy!
Current budget cuts to early education in California are limiting our resources in the classroom.
Please donate and help our students learn while they have fun creating! They will appreciate it!
