Help me give my students games to help foster and build cooperation skills, counting and number recognition skills, along with other social skills with peers.
The students of my kindergarten class are kind, loving, and eager to learn. My classroom is geared towards hands-on learning where students are always engaging in manipulatives and building positive relationships with one another. Their energetic attitudes and love for learning keeps me motivated as a teacher to give them the best education possible.
Kinder students at our school support one another and are always striving to do their best, each and every day.
I hope through DonorsChoose we can bridge the Title I gap that our students face. I hope to help my students make positive changes in our world through giving them a great kindergarten education.
My Project
Students will be given an opportunity to all learn how to play different games. This will foster cooperation and peer interaction. During games we learn patience, turn taking, rule following, and also conflict resolution. Students are not given enough time to develop these skills with the rigor of academics; therefore by providing games within the classroom setting we can build "game Friday's" into our schedule to help foster these life skills that everyone needs! Each Friday; after a long week of academics students deserve the chance to interact with peers and build social emotional skills, one way to provide this opportunity is through games.
