My Students
I teach in a Title I school. The majority of my students are from low-income backgrounds. Every student in our school receives free breakfast and free lunch due to the overall poverty in our area. My students come from diverse educational and literacy experiences. For most of my students, my classroom provides their first educational experience.
Experiences in kindergarten provide the building blocks for a successful educational career!
Funding for tools in our school has been limited due to the impacts of Hurricane Irma. These students are eager to learn and ready to blossom into lifelong learners! I am searching to provide those tools for my students!
My Project
Young children need to have the opportunity to exercise each and every day. Our students lost many outdoor supplies due to Hurricane Irma. We are trying to rebuild their gross motor development equipment.
Young children learn each and every minute they spend interacting with others!
We need to insure that they also have the ability to continue that learning outside of the classroom.
These balls and basic outdoor play equipment pieces will offer our students opportunity to exercise their body while they are exercising their social skills as they all learn to play and share together outside of the classroom walls together!
