Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year my class consists of kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade special needs students in a Title I school on the Lower East Side. All of my students have different levels of disabilities that need to be taught using differentiated teaching.

All of my wonderful students have the desire to learn, just like their general education peers.

They try hard on a daily basis and want to do well educationally, emotionally and behaviorally. They celebrate their successes and know when they need extra support to help meet their needs.

My Project

Our school is using IXL as well as Raza-z with our students to help meet their educational goals. The students love using these programs to help with their gaps, however they get upset if they don't get their chance.

Having a tablet for all students will make it easier to use the online assessments for the whole class.

As much as I try, not all students will be able to use the tablets during the same period. Unfortunately, not all my students are able to wait patiently and they become frustrated leading to unwanted behaviors in the class. Help me make all my students happy!
