My students need healthy snacks such as fruit snacks, Chex mix, granola bars, and beef sticks. They also need storage bins to keep the healthy snacks in!

My Students
Feed USA it's time to feed a rural Nebraska classroom!
Next year I will have 7 energetic 3rd graders that need the chance to get involved with 21st Century learning.
Most of the students come from high poverty homes with unstable families. The school is in a rural Nebraska area, where it is predominantly an agricultural community.
My Project
During the previous two years that I have taught third grade I have allowed students to bring healthy snacks from home, and some students couldn't afford it. That is why this year I'm helping FEED USA feed a rural third grade classroom.
For this project I have put different healthy snacks the students will be able to choose from each morning during milk break. These snacks include: Nutri-Grain bars, Chex Mix, Beef Sticks, Fruit Snacks and other things to keep their brain going. Then I also requested storage tubs for each FEED USA snack.
This project is important because it allows all my third grade students that snack in the morning to keep their brain going all day.
Just a little healthy snack allows them to focus on the tasks at hand.
