Help me give my students snacks and supplements to their lunch, to keep them from being hungry at school.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. M.'s classroom raised $540

My Project
I have an amazing group of students with Autism. This group of students are very picky eaters. Not only ate they picky with the food they eat, but they can somehow tell name brand from generic. They have sensory aversions and like to eat the same few foods. Parents are not always able to afford enough of snacks and meals their children will eat. School breakfast and lunches usually do not include food in their eating habits, leaving them hungry!
There is solid evidence that students who are hungry are not able to focus, so they have a low attention span, behavioral issues, and discipline issues in the school.
A person's basic needs like food must be met before higher needs such as learning can be addressed. My student already have challenges to overcome, having food should not be one of them.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
