Many of my students are on the autism spectrum or have other developmental challenges. They also have very unique communication and processing needs. Children on the autism spectrum process information and learn differently than children without ASD. These students often need differentiation and accommodations to help them be academically and socially successful.
The majority of my students have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and many of them have specific adaptive technology needs, such as alternative seating, manipulatives, pencil grips and more.
My students benefit tremendously from multi-sensory learning and social emotional learning. My students' education has been negatively impacted by the pandemic and it is my personal goal to ensure my students succeed after the effects of the pandemic-impacted learning. I am able to best teach my students when they have all the tools that they need to be successful in all aspects of the classroom.
My Project
Teaching during a pandemic has presented unique challenges for the Education world. My goal is to improve to my students' education experience while still having fun.
My students deserve to come to school and learn the information they need to succeed while still having fun.
The pandemic has negatively impacted their school experience and their outlook on learning.
By being able to provide these materials for my students it will not only benefit their academics but their mental health as well. This project includes math games, sight word games, social emotional learning games, crayola markers, and much more to ensure the best learning environment for my students.
