My Students
My students go to school in a low, socio-economic, high poverty area. They are constantly facing many challenges both in school and at home. Despite the circumstances my students face, they are always ready and eager to learn.
My goal with these projects is to provide my students with opportunities and materials that they might not otherwise get.

My Project
Students today no longer play games the same way they used to. Their days are filled with watching TV and playing on tablets. I want the students in my classroom to learn how to play games and also have healthy competition.
My goal with this project is to provide my students with strategy games that will not only challenge their minds but will also encourage teamwork.
The games purchased with this project includes Jenga, Chess, Checkers, Spot It!, Uno, Mancala, etc. The game of Chess will be especially helpful in my classroom as many of the students are a part of the chess team at school.
