Help me give my students electricity books and activities to make a connection to a fundamental understanding of electricity that will help students recognize potential hazards and practice safe habits at home and in school.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Electricity is all around us, yet for many students, it remains a mystery. In our 5th grade classroom, we’re eager to bring science to life by exploring the exciting world of electricity through hands-on learning. With the right materials, students can go beyond textbooks to build circuits, experiment with conductors and insulators, and truly understand how electricity powers our world. The fifth-grade electricity lessons are essential for developing fundamental scientific knowledge, critical skills, and a lifetime interest about the world around us, particularly when linked to real-world situations and practical exercises.
A fundamental understanding of electricity helps students recognize potential hazards and practice safe habits at home and in school.
This project will provide engaging tools like snap circuits, batteries, wires, and light bulbs that allow students to safely build and test their own electrical systems. The project will allow experiences spark curiosity, build problem-solving skills, and support key science standards in a way that’s both educational and fun. Your support will help empower young scientists to explore, discover, and develop a deeper understanding of the energy that keeps our world moving.
