Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a Title I school. Many of our students come from poverty-stricken homes where their families work to provide for them, but are not able to be there for their emotional needs. Some of our students have experienced traumatic events and situations which can cause big emotions they do not know how to adequately deal with.

We would love to be able to provide a safe and calming environment for our students to learn how to handle these emotions!

We are creating a sensory/cool down room for our students this year and I am so excited!
